It’s as easy as taking, commenting and uploading a few pictures. This is something many people do every day. Now the Malcolm Wallop Civic Engagement Program at the University of Wyoming is asking Wyoming residents to take photos of their communities, comment on what makes the place, program or event great and share them with the Profiles in Wyoming Resilience Research Project.

Professor of the School of Politics, Public Affairs, & International Studies and Co-Director of Malcolm Wallop Civic Engagement Program Dr. Jean Garrison.

The Profiles in Wyoming Resilience Research Project is focusing on three areas of concern for many Wyoming residents.

Assistant Professor of Political Science at UW Dr. Jason McConnell.

The project aims to identify barriers & opportunities in each of these areas. According to Garrison, examples of barriers include but are not limited to a closed school or no pre-K (education) or no access to child care/health care (resilience). Examples of opportunities can be a new business coming to town (employment) or pictures of your favorite 501(C)3 or other community organizations (resilience).

A direct link to upload your photos and comments is https://bit.ly/profileswallop. For more information, you can email Garrison or McConnell at wallop@uwyo.edu.

Submissions must be made by those 18 years of age or older. You can visit the Resilience Research project’s website, here.
