Ron RichterRecent data from the Wyoming Department of Health illustrates the success of the COVID-19 vaccines. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Data gathered by the Department of Health in recent months from Wyoming residents who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 shows that the majority of them had not been vaccinated for the virus. Wyoming State Health Officer and Epidemiologist with the Wyoming Department of Health Dr. Alexia Harrist.
Dr. Harrist said of the nearly 150 people who were hospitalized with COVID during the same time period, more than 93 percent did not report being fully vaccinated at the time they were interviewed by public health representatives. She said the data in Wyoming is consistent with the national data.
Dr. Harrist said about 30 percent of Wyoming’s population is fully vaccinated and that Sheridan County’s vaccination rate is currently at 34 percent. We’ll hear more from my interview with Dr. Harrist in a future story about how the growing presence of the Delta variant in Wyoming is a cause for concern.

So 70% of WY folks have NOT been vaccinated, but some of those who have been vaccinated tested positive for covid? Of course with 70% NOT being vaccinated, one would find more folks from that large majority testing positive. With just 30% of WYs population vaccinated, and some of those, 7%, who tested positive for covid, does not make a success story.
Experimental vaccines approved for emergency use only. Enough said.
