Graduation ceremonies will be in-person at Sheridan College this year.

The commencement ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. May 1, a Saturday, in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome. Admission is free, but tickets are required to attend.

According to a news release from the college, each graduate will receive four free guest tickets. The release stated that the number of tickets allotted to each student will be subject to increase or decrease based on current statewide COVID-19 event capacity restrictions.

In addition to the general commencement ceremony, Sheridan College’s nursing and dental hygiene programs will hold separate pinning ceremonies on May 1 in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts. The nursing ceremony will be at 8 a.m., and the dental hygiene ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

Dr. Walt Tribley, president of the Northern Wyoming Community College District, said this year, more than perhaps any in recent memory, the college district looks forward to celebrating the students’ accomplishments.

At this time, masks are recommended but will not be required at the ceremonies. Participating Sheridan College 2020 graduates will also be recognized at this year’s commencement. A livestream video of the ceremonies will be available online at www.sheridan.edu/commencement.
