Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team already has one win on the season, and now it’s time for them to get their first win of the season at home.

The Broncs host Cheyenne South, as the team looks for win #57 in a row and home win #35 in a row.

On the other side, the Bison have lost 57 in a row including 32 straight on the road.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

Big Horn/Tongue River/Buffalo HS Football: All of the other high school football teams in Sheridan as well as Johnson County are on the road today.

Big Horn is travelling to Wheatland to meet up with 9-man Pine Bluffs, beginning at 1pm.

Tongue River is at Thermopolis for a 6pm kickoff and Buffalo is at Cody for a 6pm contest.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Four of the 6 teams in North-Central Wyoming will play today and tomorrow at the Gillette Invitational.

Sheridan will take on Spearfish, South Dakota, Glenrock and Newcastle.

Big Horn will go up against Natrona County, Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Douglas.

Tongue River’s opponents are Cody, Wright and Moorcroft, while Buffalo will play against Thunder Basin, Wheatland and Rapid City Christian.

All of those games are today.

Tomorrow’s schedule and opponents are dependent on today’s results.

Meanwhile, Arvada-Clearmont is scheduled to play their home opener today vs. Upton, starting at 5pm.

The Lady Panthers host Midwest tomorrow at 1:30pm.

Kaycee starts their season today at Hulett.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Golf: The Buffalo Invitational started yesterday and will conclude today.

Sheridan and Tongue River are also participating.

Big Horn is scheduled to play tomorrow at a 1-day meet in Lusk.


Sheridan HS Tennis: Sheridan is back at home for a non-conference double-header today.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs take on Cheyenne South at 11am and Torrington at 2pm.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Sheridan runs today at Spearfish, South Dakota.

Buffalo is hosting a meet today, with Tongue River also participating.

Varsity race times are at 10:30 and 11am.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming: Both Sheridan and Buffalo are at a meet being held at Natrona County this weekend.

The Lady Broncs will swim tomorrow only, while the Lady Bison will compete today and tomorrow.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks Junior Team will take to the ice for the first time today, in an inter-squad contest on the Whitney Rink inside the M&M Center.

Doors open at 7, and the puck drops at 7:30.

The season starts one week from today and the team will play their first 4 contests on the road.

The home opener is 3 weeks from today.


College Football: It’s the first game of the season for the Wyoming Cowboys and it’s time for the Border War.

The Pokes will travel to Colorado State tomorrow for a 4pm kickoff against the Rams with the Bronze Boot on the line.

Meanwhile Montana State plays in their home opener tomorrow against Butler.

That game starts at 6:30pm.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were off yesterday, after winning 2 out of 3 games at home vs. Baltimore earlier this week.

The Rocks begin a 3-game series at home vs. St. Louis today.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 6:10pm and Sunday’s game at 1:10pm.
