Sheridan Jets Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Jets Legion Baseball team are assured of at least 3 more games this season, and they could end up playing 5 depending on how well they do.

The team begins play this coming Thursday in Casper, at the Northwest Class A Regional Tournament, against a team out of Millville, Utah.

On Friday, they go up against Klamath Falls who are the Oregon A-League State Runners-Up, and on Saturday, the Jets take on Burley, Idaho.

First pitch for all 3 of those games are scheduled for 4pm.

Zach Kintzi says the Jets have played in various tournaments this season, where they know very little about their opponents and the players are going to take the same approach going into this weekend.

The top 2 teams in each pool advance to a 4-team single elimination bracket, which will be played on Sunday, and the 2 winners will play against each other on Monday for the championship.

Teams in the other pool are from Belgrade, Montana, Anchorage, Alaska, Eugene, Oregon and the host team, the Casper Wildcatters.

Meanwhile, Wyoming State Champ Cheyenne Post 6 is scheduled to play in the AA Northwest Regional Tournament tomorrow in Medford, Oregon.

The Sixers will take on the state champs from Hawaii at around 1 or 1:30pm Mountain Time, and then depending on the result they will play on Thursday against either the host team, or Missoula who are the Montana State Champs.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of a 3-game series last night at home vs. Tampa Bay 13-9.

Ezequiel Tovar and Mickey Moniak each hit solo home runs, but it was not enough.

Before the game, Colorado pulled off 3 deals ahead of the 4pm trade deadline.

The first one involved sending outfielder Brenton Doyle to the Chicago White Sox, for right handed pitcher Mason Adams and infielder Carlos Vielma.

Deal #2 resulted in trading reliever Antonio Senzatela to Milwaukee for 2 minor leaguers.

The final one was at the last minute as reliever Victor Vodnik was sent to Miami for infielder Connor Norby and right handed pitcher Aiden May.

Multiple media reports say the Rockies have also agreed to a 2-year extension with Moniak through 2028, for $16.25 million.

The Rocks and Rays are scheduled to play each other again today in Denver, beginning at 6:40pm.
