Now that Spring Break and the Easter Holiday weekend have passed, the pace of the spring sports schedule is about to pick up.

Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: Sheridan resumes 4A East Conference play today vs. Cheyenne East and tomorrow vs. Cheyenne Central.

The boys play on the road and the girls are at home.

Start times are at 6pm and 12-noon respectively.

Buffalo plays a girls and boys double-header today at Douglas beginning at 3pm.

Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan takes on both Casper schools this weekend.

The Lady Broncs play at home today vs. Natrona County, starting at 4 and 6pm and play at Kelly Walsh tomorrow, beginning at noon and 2pm.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Track and Field: Tongue River is hosting a meet today that includes Sheridan and Big Horn.

Field events start at 10am and running events at 11.

Sheridan and BH are also scheduled to compete tomorrow at Powell.

Buffalo is scheduled to compete today at Spearfish, South Dakota, while Arvada-Clearmont and Kaycee are at Upton.

Sheridan Maverick/Lady Maverick Lacrosse: The Sheridan Mavericks are scheduled to play 2 games tomorrow in Jackson, against Bozeman, Montana and the Jackson JV team.

The Lady Mavericks are scheduled to play tomorrow and Sunday in Helena.

Sheridan/Johnson County Spring Golf/Spring Tennis: Tongue River and Big Horn are hosting a 1-day meet today at Kendrick Golf Course, starting at 10am.

Sheridan and Buffalo are scheduled to hit the links in Worland.

The High School Spring Tennis season also starts tomorrow at Natrona County.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers start their season with 2 games tomorrow at Rapid City Post 22 and 2 games on Sunday at Rapid City Post 320.

Last year the team went 45-27 and finished as runners-up at the Wyoming AA State Tournament.

Like any season the team has players to replace and Head Coach Austin Cowen says that shouldn’t be too hard to do.

The home opener is scheduled for Sunday, April 19th vs. Helena.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at San Diego 7-3 in 12 innings.

Brenton Doyle hit a solo home run in the 3rd for the Rocks, but the Padres won it on a walk off grand slam.

Game 2 of the 4 game series is scheduled for today, starting at 7:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 6:40pm and Sunday’s game at 2:10pm.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at home vs. Calgary 3-1.

With the win, the Avs claimed the Presidents Trophy, as they will have the NHL’s best record when the regular season ends next week.

It also means that if Colorado makes it to the Stanley Cup Finals, the team would have home ice advantage in that best of 7 series vs. the champ out of the East.

The Avalanche are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Las Vegas.
