Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse: One sport that is playing this weekend is lacrosse.

The Sheridan Mavericks start their season tomorrow with a pair of games in Helena.

Last year did not go too well for the team, and most of that was due to injuries, which were not always happening in games.

New Head Coach Jon Bongiorno says the Mavericks may have been trying too hard at times.

Sheridan plays 2 home games this season, which are scheduled for Friday and Saturday April 17th and 18th.

As for the Lady Mavericks, they will start their season tomorrow with a pair of games in Billings.

Mountain West Conference Basketball: The New Mexico men’s team lost last night in the semi-finals of the NIT against Tulsa 74-69.

Tulsa will take on Auburn on Sunday in the championship game.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies are scheduled to play their home opener today against the Philadelphia Phillies.

First pitch is scheduled for 2:10pm.

The 2 teams will play again tomorrow starting at 6:10pm and on Sunday at 1:10pm.

Those 3 games are part of a 6-home homestand for the Rocks.

After those 3, Colorado will play 3 games at home vs. Houston.
