Troopers Have Perfect Weekend, Play Again This Weekend

It was a great weekend for the Troopers as they won all their games over the weekend. On Friday the Troopers traveled to Cody to take on the Cody Cubs and won the doubleheader by a score of 11 – 2 then came from behind in the second game and tied it in the 7th inning and won in extra innings 4 – 3. Winning pitchers were Rich Hall in the first game and Luke Keller in the second game. Cody has been one of the best Single “A” teams in the state for the last several years.
On Saturday the Troopers played two games in Casper against the Colorado Prime and the Colorado Slammers. The Troopers were victorious in the first game. They defeated the Colorado Prime 11 – 1 in 5 innings via the 10 run rule. Eric Taylor was the winning pitcher. Ayden Rousch and Jacob Boint led the Troopers with three RBI’s each. The second game against the Colorado Slammers was rained out in the 3rd inning.
Going into Sunday, the Troopers went up against the Colorado Slammers and won 11 – 3 in the first game. Carter Dubberley was the winning pitcher. The Troopers scored 10 runs in the 6th inning. The second game on Sunday the Troopers defeated the Casper Oilers 6 – 3. Jacob Boint was the winning pitcher and Hunter Stone earned the save.
The Troopers will be on the road over in Cody next Sunday to take on the Cody Cubs in a Sunday Doubleheader.
