Stephen Carl Curtright was born on May 19, 1956, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Carl and (Cora) Bernice Curtright. He grew up and went to school in Laramie, WY, and graduated from Laramie High School with the class of 1974.  After high school, he married Cynthia Stallings also of Laramie on August 21, 1976, and they had two children Casey and Daniel. Stephen worked for Gary’s Plumbing & Heating for several years. Stephen met and married Zoe Lairen and her two children Justin and Tristin in 1983. Stephen started his own Plumbing business in 1992, he owned, and operated that business until 2002 and then took a brief pause to manage Heather, Snow, & Gary’s Plumbing until reopening Curtright’s Plumbing & Heating in 2014 – he always said, “If your faucet doesn’t squirt right, call Curtright”.  In 2019 Steve retired as a well-respected and highly sought tradesman in his industry.   Steve always enjoyed a good Rodeo, and in 1997 he began his 11 years serving as a board committee member for Laramie Jubilee Days.

He served as Downtown Chairman, Rodeo Chairman, Vice Chairman, and General Chairman during this time. Steve resided in Laramie until 2021, and shortly after retirement, he relocated to Buffalo, WY. There, he was very active in his church and was very grateful for his Men’s Bible Study coffee mornings.  He made every effort to meet new people and enjoyed attending all the local rodeos, Longmire Days festivities, drives through the mountains, and fishing with friends. In August of 2022, Steve moved to Kaycee, WY. He loved living at the Meike Bunkhouse where he and his fiancé Sue Nottage Heide resided until his death. He is survived by his fiancé Sue Nottage Heide of Laramie, WY; his two sons, Daniel Curtright and his wife Becky of Reno, Nevada, and Justin Curtright and his wife Kristi of Laramie, Wyoming; and two daughters Casey Rodriguez of Buffalo and Tristin Curtright of Greely, Colorado; two sisters Carrol McQuade of Laramie and Joyce Becker of Loveland, Colorado; ten grandchildren, Caydence, Brady, Tempi, Owen, Jacob, Carl, Jacob, Mady, Skylar, and Eric Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law Richard Becker.
