Joy Mauck

Funeral services for Joy Mauck, a 47-year-old Buffalo woman who passed away Saturday at the Life Care Center in Casper, will be held Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Church in Buffalo with Bishop Tyler Broadrick officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Joy’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter at 107 Flat Iron Dr. in Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com

Joy Renee Mauck was born on April 29, 1975 in Billings, Montana to Dennis and Sandra Mauck. She grew up in Maryland and attended Darlington Elementary School in Darlington, Maryland. She attended high school in Havre de Grace, Maryland. When she was 15, she moved to Cerritos, California to live with her father and attended Gahr High School. In 1992, she moved back to Maryland where she worked at various jobs in the fast food and hotel industries. In 1995, she moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where she worked at Colonel Bozeman’s Restaurant. She lived in Gillette for a couple of years before moving to Minden, Nebraska where she lived with her kids for ten years. In 2004 they moved back to Buffalo where she lived until her death.

Joy was an avid dart player and won a National Championship in Chicago during the early 2000s. She was an excellent cook, especially when it came to French Bread Pizza. She also enjoyed making cookies and brownies for all the neighbors. Joy had a big heart and loved helping anyone who needed it. She was an excellent Mimi and went above and beyond to show her grandchildren how much she loved and cared for them. She is survived by one son, Sebastian Mauck of Story, Wyoming; two daughters, Kiarra Evans of Kansas City, Missouri, and Chelsa Samir and her husband Sam of Houston, Texas; one brother, David Mauck and his wife Bethy of Buffalo; one sister, Teri Ann Eberhardt and her husband Pete of Las Vegas, Nevada; her father, Dennis Mauck of Buffalo and five grandchildren, Landon, Kyleigh, Liam, Aaliyah and Legend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Mauck and one brother, Jason Mauck.
