Troopers Split Season Opening Double Header / Rockies Fall Again at Philly

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers split their double header with the Billings Scarlets Wednesday evening, the Troops took the first game 3-2 with Cody Kilpatrick providing the walk off single in the 7th inning for the win.
The second game was called by rain, the game was called in the 5th inning with the Scarlets leading 5-4.
Head coach Ben Phillips says it was good to get the dust kicked off and start the season.
And he says the Troopers showed their maturity last night and only good things are going to come over the next several weeks.
And Phillips says through the month of may his job is going to be to manage the pitching staff and make sure they are ready for what’s to come in June and July.
The Troops will play a Sunday double header with the Bozeman, Montana at Thorne-Rider stadium the double header the first game is set to start at 11:00 am we will have it live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM and also a live video stream can be seen at sheridanmedia.com.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies lost at the Philadelphia again the final Wednesday was 7-3, they play the get away game today at 11:00. you can hear Rockies baseball this season live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams get back into action this week the Lady Broncs play at Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East tomorrow and Saturday.
The Broncs will host East this evening game times at 4:00 and 6:00 the Central games will be played tomorrow also at 4:00 and 6:00.
TRACK – The Bronc and Lady bronc track teams will compete at a meet tomorrow hosted by thunder basin high school in Gillette.
GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers tee it up tomorrow in Gillette.
