Tongue River HS Volleyball: The regular season for Wyoming High School Volleyball has ended and now it’s on to the regional tournaments.
Tongue River put together a record of 23-3-4 and will head into the 2A East Regional Tournament as the #2 seed.
The Lady Eagles were impacted some by the Elk Fire, but not as much as the other fall sports teams that have to play and practice outdoors.
As far as their schedule goes, when the worst of the fire hit, TR only had 1 game that week, and they were able to get it rescheduled.
Head Coach Kristen Masters says thankfully, not much rust set in on the team, as a result of losing that one week of practice and competition.
The 2A East Regional Tournament will be played at Pine Bluffs this coming Friday and Saturday.
Tongue River has a first round bye and will play in the semi-finals against the winner between Pine Bluffs and Moorcroft on Friday at 5pm.
Sheridan County HS Volleyball: Big Horn will have the #1 seed at the 2A East Regional Tournament and also have a first round bye.
The Lady Rams will play in the semi-finals against the winner between Wright and Sundance on Friday at 6:30pm.
Sheridan will have the #3 seed going into the 4A East Regional Tournament at Cheyenne South.
The Lady Broncs will take on Campbell County in the first round on Friday starting at 1:30pm.
Arvada-Clearmont survived the regional play-in game last night, winning at Hulett 3-1, to advance to the 1A East Regional Tournament that will be played at Guernsey-Sunrise.
The Lady Panthers will take on Southeast in the first round on Friday starting at 9am.

Senior Kaleb Vollmer says the Elk Fire made this season interesting, because it’s hard to work a sports season around a natural disaster, but at least it ended on a good note.
Vollmer ended up scoring the go ahead touchdown in last week’s win vs. Glenrock.
It was only his second TD of the season.
