Tongue River HS Football: Balance could be the name of the game for the Tongue River High School Football Team this season.

Last year the Eagles went 6-3 and had one of the top defenses in the state, thanks to a very talented senior class.

This year TR doesn’t have as many seniors, and before practice started there were some concerns regarding the number of players that would be on the team.

Head Coach Steve Hanson says that concern is no longer an issue, and what the team may lack in seniority, they might make up for in discipline.

Senior Nate Ridgeway says from what he’s seen, everyone has been getting along and the upperclassmen haven’t been throwing their seniority around at the underclassmen.

Tongue River is scheduled to play one week from tomorrow at home vs. the Sheridan JV team.

Sheridan County HS Golf: The Sheridan girls placed 1st and the boys 4th at the Sheridan Invitational held at Kendrick Golf Course the past 2 days.

Lady Bronc Camryn Wagner finished 1st individually on the girls side.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the rubber game of their 3-game series at Washington yesterday afternoon 8-3.

Brenton Doyle hit a solo shot and Jacob Stallings added a 2-run blast to help the cause, but that was it for the offense.

Today the Rocks start a 3-game series at the New York Yankees.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:05pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 12:05pm and Sunday’s game starts at 11:35am.

Colorado will return home after that to start a 7-game homestand, beginning Monday.

The Rockies will play 4 games vs. Miami, followed by 3 games against Baltimore.

Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos will play their final pre-season game this Sunday at home vs. Arizona.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
