Big Horn HS Football: Football practice at both of Sheridan County’s 2A schools started this week.

Big Horn had to change their traditional first day of practice this year.

The Rams would normally hold a 12:01am first practice on Monday, but because the first day of practice was also the first day of school this year, the tradition could not take place this time around.

Head Coach Kirk McLaughlin says change of plans aside, BH practice got off to a great start.

Senior Owen Petty says he and some of his team-mates were used to having a full week of practice before school started, but they’re adjusting.

Big Horn is last year’s Wyoming 2A State Runners-Up.

The team is scheduled to host a scrimmage vs. the sophomore team from Natrona one week from tomorrow, and then start the season on Friday, September 6th at Lovell.

As for Tongue River, we’ll hear from the Eagles later this week.

Sheridan HS Tennis: Sheridan split matches yesterday at Laramie.

The Broncs won 4-1, while the Lady Broncs lost 3-2.
