Sheridan HS Soccer: The Sheridan High School Soccer teams will start their second run through the 4A East Conference tomorrow.

For the girls, this weekend will be their home finale as they will entertain Laramie on Friday and Cheyenne South on Saturday, but because of Saturday’s track meet, that game will be played at Big Horn.

Last week against the Gillette teams, the defense for the Lady Broncs did pretty well, but the offense was missing in action and as a result, they got shutout in both games.

Head Coach Josh Dube says the thing the team needs to work on is consistency.

The Sheridan boys will play the same 2 teams this weekend on the road.

Sheridan County HS Track and Field: Sheridan is scheduled to host the Dan Hansen Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10am.

Senior introductions will take place beforehand.

Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada-Clearmont are also scheduled to participate.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers are back in action this weekend as they visit Rapid City Post 22.

The teams will play 2 games on Saturday and 1 on Sunday.

Post 22 is a historically good opponent and Troopers Head Coach Austin Cowen says even though the season started for the team 2 weeks ago, the boys could feel a few early season jitters again, based on where they’re traveling to.

Sheridan’s next home games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 27th and 28th.

Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse: The Sheridan Maverick boys team will play their only 2 home games of the season this weekend.

Tomorrow they play Cody starting at 7pm and play Helena on Saturday at 1pm.

Games will be played at the old Normative Services Field.

That’s not the only lacrosse action going on in Sheridan this weekend.

The club level teams from the University of Wyoming, Montana State and Denver University will be in town to play each other and put on a free youth clinic on Saturday, from noon until 4pm, also at the old Normative Services facility.

The College schedule will have Montana State vs. Denver on Saturday at 10am, MSU vs. UW on Saturday at 7pm, and then UW vs. Denver on Sunday at 10am.

As for the Sheridan Lady Mavericks, they have this weekend off from competition.

Sheridan County HS Spring Golf: Sheridan competed this past weekend at the 1-day Cheyenne Invitational back on Friday.

Shelbi Gardner finished 2nd to help the Sheridan girls to a 1st place finish in the team standings, by 4 strokes ahead of Natrona.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs were scheduled to compete tomorrow at Buffalo, but that has been canceled due to weather conditions.

The next meet is scheduled for Friday, April 26th at Gillette.

Tongue River also hosted a 1-day event this past Friday at Kendrick Golf Course.

Braxton Tremain and Easton Lewis finished 1st and 3rd individually for the TR boys who finished 3rd in the team standings.

Big Horn was supposed to host a 1-day event tomorrow at Powder Horn, but because of weather conditions, it has been canceled.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at Philadelphia 7-6, and ended up getting swept in the 3 game series.

The Rocks were down 7-1 going into the 8th inning, and then put together a come-back that ended up 1 run short.

Colorado is now 4-15 on the season.

The team is off today and will return home tomorrow to start a 7-game homestand, with 3 games against Seattle, followed by 4 against San Diego.
