University of Wyoming Spring Football Practice: It’s spring-time and that means Wyoming sports fans are either thinking about baseball, soccer, track and field…and even football!

Spring practice for the Wyoming Cowboys starts today.

UW will have 15 practices, 2 of which will be open to the public on Saturday, April 6th and Saturday, April 13th.

Locations of those practices are to be announced.

It will all depend on weather and the renovation work that’s going on inside War Memorial Stadium.

The Spring game is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th at Cheyenne.

The 2024 season starts on August 31st at Arizona State, and the home opener is on September 7th vs. Idaho.


University of Wyoming Cowgirls Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team is once again playing the waiting game in the WNIT.

The Cowgirls will play in the third round against the winner of tonight’s game between Northern Arizona at South Dakota.

The location and start time of the quarter-final game is still to be announced, but according to the WNIT schedule, that quarter-final game will be played either on Thursday or Friday.


Mountain West Conference Men’s Basketball: The UNLV men will play in quarter-finals of the NIT tomorrow at Seton Hall.

San Diego State will take on UConn in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament on Thursday in Boston.


Sheridan High School Soccer: The Sheridan Boys and Girls got their first taste of conference play this past weekend.

The Lady Broncs split their 2 games, while the Broncs won one and tied the other.

Boys Head Coach Wade Kinsey says when it comes to conference play, the game tends to have a different feel to it.

Sheridan has this week off from competition.

The next scheduled games are next week Friday and Saturday vs. Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

The boys will play on the road and the girls will play at home.


Sheridan County HS Track and Field: Sheridan, Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada-Clearmont will compete at a meet in Buffalo on Friday.


Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies got crushed yesterday at Milwaukee 10-1.

Daniel Cope hit a solo home run for Colorado to prevent the shutout.

The Rockies play their final pre-season game today at home vs. Milwaukee beginning at 1:10pm.

Tomorrow is an off day, and then the season starts for real on Thursday.

The Rocks play their first 7 games on the road…4 at Arizona and 3 at the Chicago Cubs.

The home opener is on Friday, April 5th against Tampa Bay.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at home vs. Memphis 128-103.

The Nuggets next play tomorrow at home vs. Phoenix.
