American Legion Baseball Season Officially Starts in April / Cowgirls Host Another WNIT Game Thursday Night

TROOPERS BASEBALL – Sheridan American Legion baseball will kickoff the new season next month right now all players are going through voluntary workouts outdoors when the weather has cooperated and indoors at the facility at Thorne-Rider park where we were Monday evening.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips is back for a 14th season and says numbers are way up and the program will field four teams this season.

And Phillips is really looking forward to the coming season as the Troopers return a ton of talent from last year’s squad.

And he talks about his focus over the next several weeks before the season starts.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER – The Sheridan high school soccer teams open league play this week the Broncs will host games Friday and Saturday with Cheyenne South and Laramie while the Lady Broncs travel to Cheyenne and Laramie.

Game times Friday are at 4:00 and 6:00 and Saturday at 11:00 and 1:00.

TRACK AND FIELD – The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams have two meets scheduled this week at Newcastle Friday and Broomfield, Colorado Saturday.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowgirls will play their third round WNIT game at home against UCLA Thursday night we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM, Cowgirl pregame starts at 6:00 with the tip at 6:30.
