Historic Preservation Commission on Historic Preservation Month

May is National Historic Preservation Month, and the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission will be celebrating with a number of activities.
Edre Maier and Kristin Campbell were guests on Sheridan Media’s talk show Public Pulse this week, and Campbell discussed National Historic Preservation Month.
This is the first year that Sheridan has been involved in the celebration, which Maier said is exciting because Sheridan has so much to offer from a historical standpoint.
Campbell said the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission was disbanded a few years ago but was recently reestablished by the Sheridan County Commission.
She tells us more about the organization and what they do.
They are currently working on the Preservation Plan for Sheridan County, which will highlight the county’s goals for historic preservation.
The Preservation Commission is hoping to get the community involved in the process to hear what is important to them concerning preservation.
