Veteran’s of all ages enrolled in the Veteran’s Administration Health Care System are eligible to make an appointment and receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

The Sheridan Veteran’s Administration Healthcare System has administered over 5,600 vaccinations throughout Wyoming. Following a priority list, the VA administered most of those to veterans most at risk of contracting COVID-19.

Saving veterans a trip in the car, the vaccination team travels throughout the Cowboy State to VA Care Center locations administering the vaccinations as well dispelling myths and educating veterans to the benefits of the vaccine.

With vaccine supply chains continuing to improve, the VA has recently received a large delivery of the Moderna Vaccine, making it the most likely vaccine veterans will receive.

The VA will continue to provide care and services to veterans who opt out of receiving the vaccine. The VA does not require staff or veterans to take vaccinations, but does recommend them.

The VA does require the use of face coverings, proper hand hygiene and social distancing while visiting or working on the facility grounds and will continue to do so under federal mandate.

To make an appointment call (307) 675-3575.

Everyone over 16 in Sheridan county can now receive the COVID vaccine rather they are a veteran or not. This is nothing special or newsworthy. If you want the vaccination you can get it regardless of military service.
