Yellowstone National Park’s July 2025 And YTD Numbers Slightly Down Compared To Last Year

Yellowstone National Park had another busy July in terms of recreational visitor numbers, but the park has fallen slightly behind its record breaking pace for the year.

The Park reports 975,109 visitors passed through one of the 5 entrances to the park last month.

That’s down 2% compared to July of last year (992,352) and down 10% from the busiest July ever in 2021 (1,080,767).

Year to date numbers as of the end of July stand at 2,666,031 which is up 1.5% compared to the same time last year (2,626,091), but is down 0.1% from 2021 (2,668,765).

Yellowstone NP’s annual record is 4,860,242 visits, which happened in 2021.

June, July and August are usually the busiest months in the park.
