Sheridan Commission Awards Contract for Taxiway Realignment

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have awarded the contract to realign Taxiway A and Connectors, Shift General Aviation (GA) Taxi Lane, and expand the GA Apron project.

Airport Manager Robert Gill gave details on the bids and his recommendation for awarding the contract.

Oftedal Construction, Inc. had the lowest bid for the project at nearly $9.5 million.

According to Gill, Powder River Construction’s bid was just over $9.6 million; and Century Companies bid was $10.1 million.

The engineer’s estimate on the project was $8.5 million.

The commission voted to award the contract for the project to Oftedal Construction.
