Honoring fellow firefighter

A Sheridan County Sheriff’s office vehicle leads an emotional procession on Interstate 90 south of Sheridan Wednesday to honor Los Angeles Fire Department Captain II Christopher Yokoyama, who passed from natural causes while on vacation in Sheridan. The Clearmont Volunteer Fire Department, Story Fire Department, Big Horn Fire Department, Goose Valley Fire Department were included in this procession from Exit 20 to Buffalo. Earlier, Dayton Fire and Rescue and other departments in Sheridan County and EMS services were in the procession.

Yokoyama’s autopsy was performed in Billings. He was embalmed in Buffalo. His body will be flown back home to California.
