Love Shouldn’t Hurt Fundraiser Returns to Support Advocacy and Resource Center
Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center Executive Director Yvonne Swanson and Assistant Director Rhonda Weber appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse inviting the public to have fun, support the Advocacy and Resource Center and celebrate healthy relationships.
Swanson said grant funding is vital for daily operations, including paying advocates and supporting their training, while funds raised during Love Shouldn’t Hurt are unrestricted and can be used to help victims of violence when and how they need it.

The Advocacy and Resource Center’s annual fundraising event, Love Shouldn’t Hurt 2026, featuring The Fun Pianos dueling pianos and food by Shabby Shack Eatery and Catering, will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Kalif Shrine Center in Sheridan.
Patrons can tip The Fun Pianos for requests, and Swanson said higher tips move requests up on the playlist. The Fun Pianos will play, riff and entertain for three hours. At the conclusion of the show, the performers donate all of their tips back to the center.
The Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center advocates for individuals who may feel they do not have a voice in the legal system, provides safety plans to victims of domestic violence and speaks in public schools about dating and relationship safety.
Tickets are $75 and may be purchased at the Advocacy and Resource Center, 136 Coffeen Ave., by clicking here or by calling 307-672-3222. Tickets will also be available at the door.
