Sheridan Man Arraigned on Multiple Charges

A Sheridan man was arraigned on multiple charges this week in Fourth Judicial District Court. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On April 6, 2025, 19-year-old Logan Chivers was arrested by the Sheridan Police Department for allegedly stealing items from a number of vehicles in Sheridan. Shivers, at an arraignment hearing in District Court Tuesday, pleaded not guilty to the charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and interference with a peace officer.
A trial date and date for a pretrial conference were not set at the arraignment hearing. A request for a pre-plea presentence investigation was granted by the Court as both the defense attorney in the case and prosecuting attorney agreed that the case will be resolved soon through a plea agreement. According to court documents, Chivers along with two other individuals allegedly stole items from unlocked vehicles during the early morning hours of April 6. Vehicles were broken into on 5th, 6th and 7th streets, and in the area of Sheridan Junior High School. If convicted, Chivers faces up to 21 years in prison and fines of up to $21,000.
