JCHC Board Discusses Current Construction, Beginning Phase III

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center got reports on the current construction project, which is wrapping up Phase II, and the beginning of work on Phase III.

CEO Luke Senden told the board that contractors are working on details on Phase II, readying the new space for the clinic area which is expected to open in the coming weeks.

Senden also reported on the status of Phase III.

Phase III, with a cost of roughly $4.5 million, will remodel the Home Health/Hospice area, nurse station area, the Obstetrics area, and ICU area.

Additionally, it will open up space for future growth in the facility.

According to earlier discussions by the board, discussions, the total cost for all three phases of the construction project is just under $20 million.
