City of Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader announced work on the City’s water meters will begin next month.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Schrader said the $1.2 million project fulfills federal regulations and will provide benefits for the city and consumers.

The work will take a few months and anyone on the City’s water supply should expect to be contacted within that time frame to arrange the replacement of their current meter.

A portion of the funds ($900,000) for the project came from the Water and Sewer American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funding.
