Game and Fish opens public comment on three chapters

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has alerted the public they have opened a comment period and will hold public meetings across the state to gather input on proposed changes to the following regulations:

Chapter 3, Black Bear Hunting Seasons

Chapter 30, Regulation Governing Fur Dealers

Chapter 61, Collection of Shed Antlers and Horns 

Game and Fish is hosting eight public meetings about the regulation proposals.

The public meeting in Sheridan will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Sheridan Game and Fish Regional Office. Written comments shall be accepted through 5 p.m. Dec. 4, at any of the above public meetings or by mailing: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604 or online. 

Copies of the proposed regulation changes are available on the department website by clicking here. Hard copies are available through the address above in accordance with Chapter 1 Regulation Governing Access to Public Records.

Written comments shall be presented to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission prior to its January 2024 meeting in Cheyenne.

Public meetings will also be held at the following times and dates in the following locations throughout Wyoming. 

Nov. 6, 5 p.m. Casper at the Casper Game and Fish Regional Office.

Nov. 8, 6 p.m. Green River at the Green River Game and Fish Regional Office

Nov. 8, 6 p.m. Pinedale at the Pinedale Game and Fish Regional Office

Nov. 14, 6 p.m. Lander at the Lander Game and Fish Regional Office

Nov. 15, 6 p.m. Laramie at the Laramie Game and Fish Regional Office

Nov. 16, 6 p.m. Jackson at the Jackson Game and Fish Regional Office

Nov. 20, 6 p.m. Cody at the Cody Game and Fish Regional Office
