Sheridan College is proud to host an intriguing presentation from John Laughlin as a part of the Science Museum Lecture Series. “Archeology in Wyoming” will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7pm. This special event is free and open to the public, and it will be held in the Mars Ag Center (MAC) 201, as well as via Zoom Webinar (zoom link will be available at the time of the lecture at www.sheridan.edu/lecture).

His lecture will cover our state’s rich archaeological history (which spans at least 13,000 years) and will include information about ancient Mammoth and Bison kills, as well as more recent evidence of fur traders, homesteaders, and the Cold War.

Laughlin is the Natural Resources Program Supervisor for the Wyoming Department of Transportation, Environmental Services Program. He received his BA in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa and later received his master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Wyoming.
