Johnson County Approves JCTA Employees for Health Plan

Johnson County’s Commissioners considered and then approved a request from the Johnson County Tourism Association to allow their employees to utilize the county’s employee health insurance program.
County Clerk Jackie Camino said that JCTA Board President Jody Sauers had asked about the possibility.
According to discussions at the meeting, because the JCTA is a joint powers board between the county and the City of Buffalo they are eligible to use the county’s health insurance.
Also there will be no cost to the county as the JCTA is responsible for all costs associated with placing their employees on the county’s health insurance.
