JCSD1 Board to See Preliminary 2024 Budget

At Monday’s Johnson County School Board meeting, District Business Manager Connie Gay is scheduled to gave a presentation on the Fiscal Year 2024 Preliminary Budget.

According to the proposed budget documents, the district is looking at a budget of $19.6 million in 2024, which is a decrease of roughly $3.4 million from the previous budget in 2023.

The 2023 budget was slightly higher than the $22.8 million budget in 2022.

In addition to hearing reports from staff and administration, the board will also approve employment, classified staff renewal, and set the mill levies for the Recreation Board and BOCHES.

The board will discuss various policy revisions and a quote on metal siding repair work needed at the Kaycee K-12 School.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the Administration Office at 601 W Lott St in Buffalo.
