County Lifts Hiring Freeze for Assessor, Clerk

Johnson County’s Commissioners voted to lift the hiring freeze for the library to hire a replacement for Lindsey Belliveau, who moved up from the children’s section of the library to take the reins from outgoing Library Director Steve Rzasa.
A similar situation has happened with two other county departments, and Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained the need to hire employees in those offices as well.
Both County Clerk Jackie Camino and Assessor Steve Esponda were authorized to hire new employees to fill their previous positions in their offices.
