Wyoming Waters is a community arts exhibit currently open for viewing at SAGE Community Arts.
In September the Sheridan community arts organization invited watermedia artists to submit work for the fall exhibition, Wyoming Waters: Small Format Watermedia.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, SAGE Community Arts Executive Director Jill Benson said this new exhibition works to showcase the diversity of water based mediums and the experimental ways they come together to create masterful works of art.
Benson told listeners the idea for this water based media community exhibit came from SAGE members.
By including more than just water-colors, the show was open to acrylics, water based inks and other water based media.
Thirty-eight of the 40 artists who signed-up were able to get pieces completed and submitted. Some of the artists have never previously submitted pieces to a gallery, making Wyoming Waters a debut exhibit for many of the artists.
Wyoming Waters will be on exhibit until Nov. 26. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, an artist reception will be held. Artists will be available to speak on their work with food provided by Verdello.
