A petition to vacate Public Rights-of-Way known as the alley in Block 44 and Yonkee Avenue between Blocks 44 and 41 of the Downers Addition in Sheridan County has been voted down by the Sheridan County Commission.
County Engineer Ken Muller had previously been appointed as the viewer in the petition and discussed his findings with the commission during their last meeting.
According to discussions there are also existing utilities in the easement owned by the Downers Addition Neighborhood Improvement District.
The commission voted to deny the petition to vacate the rights-of-way.
