Construction at JCHC Behind Schedule Due to Supply Issues

The construction project at the Johnson County Healthcare Center (JCHC) is about a month behind schedule due to supply chain problems, according to CEO Luke Senden.
During the JCHC Board meeting Wednesday night, he explained that the new portion of the building is starting to take shape, and expects there to be a more in-depth report at next month’s meeting.
He said there are some delays in getting materials for the project.
Senden said the architects and contractors are concerned about roofing materials and HVAC equipment availability and seeing lead times, or estimates on delivery, of up to 27 weeks.
He said they may be at next month’s meeting seeking approval of designs to get those items ordered now for Phase II of the construction, to avoid slowing the project and adding to its cost.
