cvannoyIn a short meeting, SCSD#1, Ranchester/Big Horn board of trustees, heard from one visitor, John Bridges, who talked about several petitions that had been submitted concerning proposed changes to policies concerning rights of parents and the teaching of controversial issues. These had been submitted to the board in August, but he said there had been no action taken by the board.
Shane Rader, Chairman of SCSD#2 School board and WSBA area 7 director representing Sheridan and Johnson Counties was a visitor at the meeting.
There was a Tongue River Elementary video presentation by Principal Ryan Fuhrman and he talked about some of the work that is being done at TRE and how he felt they are exceeding expectations.
The two 2023 student representatives, Caleb Kilbride from Tongue River High School and Issac Adsit from Big Horn, reported to the board on what was happening at each high school in the district.
Superintendent Jeff Jones acknowledged the principals in SCSD#1, saying,
The next meeting will Nov. 14 at Big Horn High School, Room 211. Meetings are open to the public.
