cvannoyZonta Club of the Wyoming Big Horns Membership Social will be held on December 13, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Rib and Chop House.
In December, Sheridan’s Zonta is conducting their first service project. They will be collecting arts and craft supplies for the Wyoming Girls School, which members are asked to bring to the meeting.
November’s guest speaker last month, Rachel Ramsey, talked about the residents at the Girls’ School who have been doing a wide variety of arts and crafts projects.
If anyone would like to contribute, the group has provided some ideas, thread, needles,
sketch pads, paint/paint brushes, yarn, embroidery, quilting supplies, charcoal markers, scissors, glue and but certainly not limited to those ideas.
There is no cost to attend this holiday social, but if you would like to order a menu item or beverage, you can do so. There will also be a Zonta trivia game and have other holiday fun planned. They are currently seeking new members, so everyone is welcome to attend.
The group received approval from Zonta International to officially form a new club in the Sheridan area and it will be called the Zonta Club of the Wyoming Big Horns. They are also moving forward with ideas for Winter/Spring Speakers. Anyone in the area who might be interested in providing a brief presentation on a topic of interest to women in your community, please contact boysen.deedee@gmail.com
Zonta gives a special thanks to all who signed up to be charter members and to everyone else who is still thinking about it.
