Senator Lummis to Introduce Bill Prohibiting Oil and Gas Moratorium
U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming said Wednesday that she intends to introduce legislation to prohibit the Biden administration’s executive order that suspends new federal leases for oil and gas activity on federal lands. The executive order signed by President Biden Wednesday was part of a series of actions taken by the administration to address climate change.
Senator Lummis, in a statement Wednesday, said “for the president to attempt to use his authority as president to override provisions that are in federal law is inappropriate and certainly will be catastrophic.” Adding that “the executive order picks on a handful of states that power our nation in order to placate the radical far-left minority, and that the President shouldn’t be allowed to dramatically alter our energy makeup without an act of Congress.” Lummis is expected to introduce her bill, entitled the Protecting our Wealth of Energy Resources act of 2021 in the Senate today.

Kicking the can down the road,as Simpson used to say,is not the answer to the climate problem on this planet.Unwillingness to accept change in exchange for the almighty dollar is pathetic way to manage the future of our grand kids health and welfare.Elect a clown…expect a circus.
