June Martin
June Suzanne Martin 82, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at her home in Aurora, CO.
June was born on February 16, 1944 in Fresno, CA to John Puzuhanich and June Meeker Puzuhanich.
June was the eldest of four daughters that moved from California to Sheridan, WY in 1957.
June was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 15. She was guided and lived the rest of her life by the founding principles that kept her spirit free.
June graduated from Sheridan High School in 1961 where she left home late that summer to attend the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She moved to Denver after her sophomore year of college and went to work for Western Farm Bureau.
After a previous marriage, June met her current husband John Martin in 1986. Both John & June were married in the Mormon Church by Bishop Snow in 2015 with their dear friends Jim and Diana Maxwell.
June worked for USAIG for over 19 years managing work comp risks and as an assistant underwriter until her retirement in 2006.
June was blessed with a heart of gold and the desire to always be independent. June was a loving wife and will always be remembered for her kindness and wisdom.
She was guided by her faith, her love of family, nature and music that brought her great joy each and every day.
June Martin is survived by her husband John, her two loving daughters, Suzanne Smeltzer of Roswell, NM, Christine Keen of Denver, CO and her grandson, Ben Branson : her loving sisters, Janis Puzuhanich Clarke of Palm Desert, CA; Jean Puzuhanich Poll of Provo, UT; and Julie Severance Mitchell of Sheridan, WY.
June was interred at Sheridan Memorial Cemetery on Monday, July 20, 2026.
