Nate Miner Of Sheridan HS To Play Basketball At Rocky Mountain College
A Sheridan Bronc basketball senior who helped lead the team to a state championship is taking his game to the next level.
Nate Miner has signed his notice of intent to play for Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.
This past season he averaged 17 points per game, while shooting 48% from the field, as well as 40% from behind the arc.
Miner also led the Broncs with 424 points scored and grabbed 106 rebounds.
He explains what he thinks it was that got the attention of the Battlin’ Bears Coaching Staff.
“I think I just really matched what the coaches want. This is the first year that Coach (Danny) Neville has been a part of Rocky and he’s looking for shooters and guys who really want to win, and have that type of energy and I thought I would just thought I’d check their boxes off and was lucky enough for them to give me an offer and it was kind of hard for me to say no to that.”
Miner adds he plans to major in business.
