Sheridan HS Boys Basketball: The Sheridan High School Boys Basketball team had another easy game at the Cactus Jam Tournament that’s being played in Phoenix.
The Broncs defeated Coronado High School, out of Scottsdale, Arizona 90-32 yesterday, to advance to today’s championship game.
They will take on Colony High School out of Palmer, Alaska starting at 1:30pm.
Sheridan HS Senior Nate Miner Surpasses 1,000 Points: Scoring 1, 2, or 3 points at a time might not seem like much, but it adds up in the long run.
Earlier this month, Nate Miner surpassed the 1-thousand point mark in his high school career.
That includes his freshman season at Buffalo.
The senior says it’s a nice goal, but he would prefer something that Sheridan hasn’t won since 2003.
After today’s game, the Sheridan boys have the next 2 weeks off from competition, and are next scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday January 15th and 16th, as the team starts 4A East Conference play at Cheyenne East and at Cheyenne Central.
University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back in action today with a Mountain West Conference Game at Air Force.
Tip off is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
The Wyoming Cowgirls play tomorrow at New Mexico.
That game is scheduled to tip off at 1pm, and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
University of Wyoming Football: The season is not over for one Wyoming Cowboy.
Tight End John Michael Gyllenborg has been invited to compete in the Senior Bowl, which is scheduled to take place on January 31st in Mobile, Alabama.
The game is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and is considered by some to be the first stage in the NFL Draft process.
Gyllenborg finished his UW career with 80 receptions for 1,023 yards and scored 7 touchdowns.
In other UW Football news, the Pokes will have a new quarterback next season.
Kaden Anderson has announced his intention to enter the transfer portal.
He took over the starting QB position in the middle of the 2024 season.
This year he threw for almost 2-thousand yards and 12 touchdowns, but was picked off 10 times.
So far, about 15 Brown and Gold football players have entered the transfer portal.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost last night at Miami 147-123, and there may be a problem.
Star player Nikola Jokic went down with a left knee injury just before halftime and his status is unknown.
The Nuggets are next scheduled to play tomorrow at Toronto.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at home vs. LA 5-2.
The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. St. Louis.
