Charlotte D. Hein, a lifelong resident of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Surprise, AZ at the age of 83.

Born on July 10, 1942, in Sheridan to Byron and Pauline Veach, Charlotte grew up surrounded by the values of family, faith, and love that would guide her throughout her life. In 1962, she married the love of her life, William Hein. Their marriage of 60 years was a beautiful example of true partnership—rooted in devotion, adventure, and unwavering love. Together, they built a life filled with family and memories, moving across several states before eventually settling into a rhythm of summers in Sheridan and winters in Wickenburg and Surprise, Arizona.

Charlotte will be remembered most for her kind and compassionate heart. Her life was a true reflection of her devotion to Christianity, and she carried that faith into every action and word. She had a special gift for making others feel cared for, welcomed, and never alone. Whether offering encouragement in a difficult time, sharing her wisdom, or simply listening with love, Charlotte was always there. Her legacy is one of generosity, faith, and grace—a legacy that will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She found joy in the simple beauty of life, from exploring the Arizona desert in the winter to treasuring the summers in the Big Horn Mountains she called home. Above all, Charlotte loved her family deeply. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her endless joy, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. She also cherished the many friendships she made along life’s journey—relationships she valued beyond measure.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Pauline Veach; father and mother-in-law, Clifford and Elsie Hein; her beloved husband, William Hein; her daughter, Dershie Hein, and brother-in-law Robert Ernst.

She is survived by her son, David (Tammie) Hein, daughter, Deanna (Steve) Misulich; her grandchildren, Jessica (Zack), Tyanna (Alex), Jacquelyn (Pete), Kallie, William, Jerred, Jenna (Wes), Zaffary (Donald), and Zaneisha (Eric); her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jorden, Addie, Brayven, Benjamin, Nixon, Vince, Lily, Shylynn, Lynnsey, Amelia, ZeDrik, and Zaxen; her sister, Kathy Oats; her sister-in-law Linda Ernst, nieces Lisa (Mike) Stull, Ann Ernst, her brother-in-law Ed Hein (Audrey and Troy Hein) along with many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.
