Aaron PalmerThe City of Buffalo has a new contract with an entity to provide animal care services to the city, after the city council approved the contract at their meeting this week.
Mayor Shane Schrader made the announcement.
The council had gone from negotiating with St. Francis to those negotiations breaking down and them awarding a contract to the Buffalo Kennel Club, owned by a city employee, which was eventually determined to be against state statute, to asking for Requests For Proposals (RFPs) for another contract, resulting in the current contract with St. Francis Animal Shelter.
The council approved the contract unanimously.
