Weekend Sports Wrap up

HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS – The high school winter sports season starts this week the Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams tip off at a three day event in Riverton starting Thursday we will broadcast those games on KWYO14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.

The Bronc wrestlers will host a dual with Worland Thursday, JV’s start at 5:00 with the varsity going at 6:00.

The Bronc swimmers and divers will have their first competition in Laramie this weekend.

Sheridan high school’s Nordic ski teams has their first competition in Laramie this weekend.

Indoor track and field will start workouts the first week in January with their first meet January14th.

The Big Horn rams and Lady Rams basketball teams open their season this week at a tournament hosted by Burns high school.

The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles basketball teams start the season at home Saturday hosting Lovell.

JUNIOR HAWKS – The Sheridan Junior Hawks split their games Bozeman, they took the first game 10-2, their seven game winning streak was snapped with Bozeman winning 7-4 on Saturday.

The Hawks are back in the M&M center this weekend hosting the Great Falls Americans at Friday night’s game it’s volunteer, booster and billet recognition night, Saturday night they are hosting a toy drive, bring a toy worth at least 10 dollars and get into the game free both games start at 7:30.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys dropped their 4th straight game losing at home game against Grand Canyon University 66-58, after the loss Head coach Jeff Linder.

And Linder says they’re in a tough spot but only the team can dig themselves out of the hole they are in.

The Pokes will play tomorrow night at home against the Texas A&M Commerce Lions, we will have the game Cowboy pregame starts at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 you can hear the game on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.

COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys will play Ohio University in the Arizona bowl December 30th.

It was also announced there will be no television coverage of the game but we will be broadcasting the game live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.
