A recent Tongue River High School grad who was recruited to the girls basketball team, has been recruited so she can play at the college level.

Marajah Pease has signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play basketball at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

She says she’s been playing basketball for about 10 years thanks to her family getting her involved, however it wasn’t until she got to high school when she started to get serious about the sport.

“I would shoot around by myself in the gym and during PE and everybody would come up to me and ask if I wanted to play basketball and I said, ‘sure,’ so I came out to one of their open gyms and after that I kept going to their open gyms and started developing new skills and developing the new atmosphere with the new team-mates.”

Pease says she is considering majoring in elementary education.
