Hunter Bergner passed away unexpectedly on March 15th. Born at Stanford, Hunter was raised in Atherton and Menlo Park, graduating from Junipero Serra High School. Hunter was an accomplished athlete and played college baseball after High School. After graduating from Canada College, Hunter pursued a career in real estate, eventually owning his own business as a Realtor and property manager. At the time of his death, he was still active in local baseball. An outdoorsman and an athlete, Hunter loved baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding, with many of those interests developed during summers spent at his Bergner grandparent’s ranch in Wyoming. He was a true SF Giants fan, a 49er Faithful & a huge fan of the Warriors. Hunter was outgoing, and engaging, and you could not miss that gorgeous smile when he was socializing at a concert or game, thoroughly enjoying life.

Hunter re-connected with a long-lost love, Sonya Jean Wallick, whom he considered to be his best friend and soulmate. Hunter’s proudest achievement was being a father to his 3 beloved children, Logan, Liam, and Shelby, always interested and involved in their lives. Hunter is survived by his mother, Josefina Duron Bergner, his father, Robert Bergner, stepmother Jeanine Hodges, brothers Preston (Alyona) and Aiden, his children Logan, Liam and Shelby, and his partner Sonya Jean Wallick, as well as many adored Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Also, let’s not forget Max, his beloved dog & constant companion. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Hunter’s life.

A celebration of life took place on April 20th in Half Moon Bay. Graveside services will take place on June 22 at Willow Grove Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at the Hampton Inn.

‍ Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
