Frozen 5K

Sheridanites of all ages laced up their ice skates to join Wyoming Families for Hands and Voices for the first-ever Frozen 5K Ride the Waves in 2026 on the Whitney Rink at the M&M’s Center Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025.

Skaters, who made 35 laps, would officially be recognized as executing a 5K. Skating for at least 40 minutes would also qualify. The event was a fundraiser to support the Wyoming chapter of Hands and Voices.

Organizers said an average of six children are born in Wyoming deaf or some form of hearing loss.
