Jentel is inviting the community to join them for Jentel Presents of 2024, when the new troupe of Jentel residents have an opportunity to share their visual artworks and writings.
According to Jentel, these residents come from all over the country and are eager to share their hard work with the Sheridan community.
This community outreach program, featuring visual presentations and readings by the residents at the Jentel Artist Residency Program, will be held at 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy the free presentation.
This month’s presenters include Aubrey Edwards from Laramie, WY. A photographer and multidisciplinary artist, Edwards is a visual artist, historical archaeologist, and public anthropologist acutely invested in storytelling, education, and public history. She loves migratory birds and exploring ecosystems.
Adrian Fleur, from Minneapolis, MN. Fleur is a fiction novelist currently finishing her novel; a blend of memoir and fiction set in her home country of South Africa, exploring the power of women’s friendships across class and racial lines.
Kristy Peet from Houston, TX. A large format analog photographer, Peet creates art about personal psychology. She loves swimming, traveling, and her two cats.
Emi Macuaga from Santa Monica, CA. A writer, born and raised in Tokyo, Macuaga is Japanese and Bolivian, a mother of two boys and two cats. She says she is guided by books, food, music, love, and nature.
Dr. Jason Rosenberg from Sewanee, TN. A composer and conductor, Rosenberg is also an environmentalist. As well as a music neuroscience researcher, he said he does too many things…and normally not as well as he would like.
Latham Zearfoss from Chicago, IL. A multimedia sculptor, Zearfoss can share some successes and failures from a decade of experiments while trying to create an eco-friendly sculptural practice.
Join Jentel as they host the next Jentel Presents on Feb. 27, 2024.
