While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Domiguez and Undersheriff Lieutenant Devereaux Johnson spoke on motorcycle safety.
With the Sturgis Motorcycle rally beginning Aug. 4, the Undersheriff made some recommendations to ensure the safety of both motorists and motorcycle enthusiasts.
Sheriff Domiguez took the opportunity to remind dirt bike and side-by-side enthesitis, that dirt roads in the county and on the mountain can be a busy place.
In 2019, 70% of dirt bike deaths were individuals 30 years old or younger and 66% of those deaths involved riders who were not wearing a helmet.
