Over the counter leftover licenses and general license sales began at 8 a.m. July 12, at the Wyoming Game and Fish Sheridan Regional Office.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Game and Fish Public Information Specialist for the Sheridan Region Christina Schmidt informed the public on the leftover licenses that do come with a caution before buying.
Schmidt said there are some cow/calf elk and doe/fawn deer left in the Sheridan Region, available on a first come, first served basis at all license selling agents or online.
The only pronghorn licenses left in the state are in Area 23, but they are restricted to private land only.
The Game and Fish Department recommends visiting the Hunt Planner on the Game and Fish website. The Hunt Planner has detailed information to help hunters make an informed choice on what area and license type to put in for. Find the Hunt Planner, here.
