Sheridan Public Works Director Says Landfill Project Has Begun

While a recent guest on our talk show Public Pulse, Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer talked about the current expansion project at the City of Sheridan landfill, saying construction began this month.

He gave more details on the project and why it was needed.

The construction project for Cell 10 at the landfill was awarded to Mountain View Building, Inc. for just under $2.8 million.

Mercer also said that there is a temporary scale in place and asked the public to be patient when visiting the landfill.

Mercer said it does take more time so plan accordingly when visiting the landfill.

There currently is no time frame for installation of a new permanent scale, according to Mercer.
